News: DASH Camp 2017 Recap

DASH Camp 2017 was a weeklong workshop for graduate students at the University of Minnesota, offered by Liberal Arts Technologies and Innovation Services (LATIS) and the University Libraries. On the first day, twenty graduate students joined us for a daylong introduction to digital arts, sciences and humanities at the University of Minnesota (which included a short break for the solar eclipse). Some of that group followed one of eight tracks for the rest of the week, on topics such as digital mapping, creating websites, and visual communication. Through a combination of instruction, work time and consultations, they worked on their own projects. See the DASH Camp website to learn more about the agenda and tracks.

We’ve closed up camp for the year, and everyone is getting ready to go back to school. But for faculty and graduate students at the University of Minnesota, staff who are part of the DASH network are available to help with their projects. Look for updates through this newsletter, or email dash@umn.edu if you’d like a consultation.

Rebecca Moss, Assistant Director of LATIS and leader of the visual communication track, offers her perspective on DASH Camp 2017.
