Scott Spicer - Media Outreach and Learning Spaces Librarian, University Libraries
Scott Spicer is an associate librarian with the UMN Libraries. He currently serves as Media Outreach and Learning Spaces Librarian and functions as head of the Library Media Services program, with primary responsibilities including outreach to instructors on the development and support for course integration of student produced media assignments and commercial educational media resources. Spicer has studied, published, and presented on a diverse range of media related topics in higher education, including the benefits and library support of student produced media, educational media resources, media literacy skill set development, multimodal scholarship, media related copyright issues, and innovative library learning spaces. Spicer received his MLIS from Dominican University and his MA in Curriculum and Instruction (Learning Technologies program) from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities).
